Ant Attack - First Person - ZX Spectrum

A new way to play Ant Attack on ZX Spectrum by AICololle

This is an AI assisted project.

* Ant Attack in first person for ZX Spectrum 128K and 48K

* Rescue the 10 hostages throughout the city

* You can walk, jump, punch and throw grenades

* 128K enhanced version with better (and bigger) graphics and sound
I made a 48K version only to people that wants to play in the real 48K Speccy that maybe have in home. ;)
In the 128K version, the player's fists appear on the screen (which does not happen in the 48K version).

* This game was conceived by a user on a Spectrum forum, and I simply took on the task of scripting, testing, and building it with the help of AI.

Notes about the game:

Ant Attack 3D is a first-person take on the classic isometric city of Ant Attack (Sandy White, Quicksilva, 1983), written in Z80 assembly for the ZX Spectrum. You walk the streets of Antescher at ground level. You can climb blocks, jump up stairs, hide behind walls and look down on the ants from the rooftops.

The engine: raycasting with height

The renderer is a raycaster in the style of DOOM. It uses the same focal length and angle conventions, but it's built for a city where blocks have height and can float.
