For the 22nd entry we have a digital version of a classic board game: Master Mind. Can you guess the color code before running out of attempts?
We might not had Wordle on the 80s, but we did had Master Mind, and it was quite popular. It is only logical that we get a MSX version of it. The board game uses 2 players, but almost nobody wanted to play as the one that sets the code and scores the answer, so having a computer do that for you is an improvement.
You enter a sequence of 4 colors and the computer will tell you how many are in the code, but in the wrong place, and how many are in the code and in the right place, but won’t tell which ones, that’s for you to figure out.
The game is designed to be played with keyboard, as the numbers 1 to 6 are used to select the colors. There is no manual but the game is simple enough, and there’s plenty of on-screen instructions too.
