The space adventure Saal takes you on a journey across the galaxy as you search for missing ship parts. This text-based MSX2 screen game is not for the faint of heart, as its difficulty level is incredibly high.
In the last episode, game author Freenit introduced Wizsoul, a particularly unique text-based adventure for the MSX2, available in both English and Spanish. In the 25th edition of MSXdev, we now get to experience another adventure in the same style but set in a different environment: space. And once more, in English and Spanish displayed simultaneously on the screen.
Saal is made for die-hard gamers, text adventure purists, and thrill-seekers. This journey takes you to uncharted galaxies, if fortune favors you. The ship has lost all five heart parts, and it’s up to you to uncover their whereabouts in the zone. Study each screen carefully for instructions on how to proceed – good luck, space cowboy!
The text file included in the package serves as your introduction manual. It provides no hints and offers minimal context. Just dive in and discover—it’s an adventure, after all.
Delivered as a 720KB disk, the game SAAL runs on MSX2 or higher
