MSXdev24 #27 Room 5

The French based MO5.com association promotes the preservation of videogame heritage, including the MSX system’s games. To achieve this, MO5.com has been campaigning since 2003 for the creation of a national museum, supported by the government and industry professionals, to reflect the common policies of all the representatives of the digital and video game industries in France. The game Room 5 was created live for educational purposes by MO5.com, and ended up here at MSXdev.

Still dizzy from last night, you somehow got yourself stuck in a room with only a strange voice on the telephone instructing you to get to Room nr. 5. Whatever that means, you’ll explore the room and find a way to exit…. only to find yourself in another room. Each room is a world of its own, but with a whole lot of secrets. Occasionally, you’ll come across items that can help you with your progress. Does Room 5 even exist you’ll ask yourself while desperately looking for the exit.

A game full of surprises and secrets, presented in a mesmerizing monochromatic like layout that will not distract you from finding that room. Just you and your wheelchair, and a bit of luck. With a password system and the option to upload high scores to the MSX leader board, Room 5 is sure to keep you engaged for an extended period.
